The Feelin’ Peachy Team

Our values of inclusivity are reflected in our instructor team, who represent a range a body shapes, sizes and abilities. We pick our instructors based on their skills, talents, and passion for teaching, and these don’t come with a size label attached!

We know that the most important part of being a pole instructor is your ability to analyse, motivate, support, and TEACH. So, we are continuously striving to improve our aptitude in these areas through continuous professional development, ongoing training, and perfecting our skills in and out of the pole studio.

Meet the amazing Feelin’ Peachy Team…

Peach started pole in 2015 when she moved home after university and wanted a way to keep fit and meet new people. Soon she was totally hooked, and couldn’t get enough, and started competing a year into her pole journey.

Her specialities include sensual movement and fluid flow with an emphasis on empowerment and self-love through dance. She wants everyone to feel as good as she feels when she is dancing!

In 2018 she opened the Feelin’ Peachy studio as an oasis for the type of pole she loved – flow, dance and tricks all coming together under one roof. This space was designed to be body inclusive and body positive.

However, her health started to decline and Peach had to find ways to adapt pole to her new ability. This led to her developing and managing the studio with a newfound focus on inclusivity for health conditions and disability, alongside body inclusivity in general. In 2022 she was formally diagnosed with Endometriosis, and her experiences with this debilitating disease inform her approach to fitness, self-love, and personal empowerment in everything she does. She is excited to get back to training and competing after her successful surgery – watch this space!

Emmy started her pole journey in 2019 after being encouraged by a work colleague to try chair dancing at Feelin’ Peachy. At the time, Emmy had just finished a difficult maternity leave and was trying to find her identity again as a new mum. Emmy was hesitant to come – being plus sized, not very fit, and not very confident, Emmy was unsure how she would fit in.

After just one class, Emmy was buying pole heels and outfits and has never looked back since, with some of her closest friends being other students in the studio. Her confidence has flourished both inside and outside of the studio.

In 2021, Emmy decided to pursue her love for pole dancing and the studio even further by becoming an instructor with Feelin’ Peachy. Emmy has a chronic lower back injury and a gynaecological issue which can both cause serious pain. Emmy’s favourite thing to do as an instructor (apart from dancing to a Disney medley!) is to demonstrate that pole is for all body sizes and types, and to make our classes accessible and inclusive.

Emmy’s advice would be – give it a go, or you might never see what you’re missing!
