What happens in our meditation classes?

These are 60 minute sessions where you can find calm, balance, and leave feeling energised. Whether that is after a long day at work or with the kids, at the end of a busy week, or even just because prioritising self-care is essential, no matter how stressful your life is! (or isn’t – we wish!)

Our meditation classes are a mix of guided meditation, visualisation, and mindfulness. Each month we will use our weekly meditation session to explore different intensions or concepts, learning more about ourselves or the natural world around us, and discovering how to deeply relax.

Week-to-week you will enjoy:

  • Total rest with progressive muscle relaxation and breathing exercises
  • Empowerment and improved confidence with intentions and affirmation work
  • Self-exploration with card reading and reflection time
  • Learning about the energy and power of the seasons and natural cycles
  • Connecting with your intuition and feeling more secure in yourself
  • Working with different tools such as crystals and affirmation cards

“I’ve never done meditation, can I do this class?”

This class is suitable for everyone, even if you have never meditated before.  Many people find a meditation class the perfect way to kick-start their meditation practice.

A class can help you if you’ve never done meditation before by:

  • Motivating you to start a regular practice
  • Providing accountability to maintain your self-care routine
  • Training your meditation ‘muscle’ and learning the skills

1. Motivation

If you’re someone who has tried to meditate at home before but has struggled to schedule it into your daily life, then a class can provide a weekly commitment. Once a week can lead to a more regular practice as you get used to your new schedule.

2. Accountability

Your self-care is essential, and yet it is often the first thing that get deprioritised when life gets hectic. Booking onto a weekly class can keep you looking after yourself. When you’re calm and confident, you are able to work and live with more ease.

3. Training

You’re not expected to be ‘good’ at meditation when you first start, this is a big misconception that prevents many people from starting. Like tennis, chess, or drawing, you need to learn the SKILL of meditation through practice. Guided sessions provide a safe, supportive environment to begin training the meditation ‘muscle’.

What are some of the benefits of meditation?

You really should not underestimate the scope of benefits you will experience from even 60 minutes of a meditation practice each week, but some of them include:

  • Total ‘me time’ self-care and pampering – have an excuse to escape the stresses of your everyday life, job, family and daily routine
  • Improved positive thinking and general outlook
  • Feeling happier, more confident and self-assured
  • Coping better with stress
  • Leave feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the rest of your week
  • Meet and become a part of a safe, supportive, and like-minded group of people within your community
